OUR SCHOOL

Klemzig School is proud to offer families and students an opportunity to be part of this extraordinary community where all students immerse themselves in high-calibre academics whilst exploring and pursuing their personal passions.

Klemzig School is a bilingual school, which means learning opportunities are offered by two teachers simultaneously in both spoken English and Auslan in many classes.

Children experience an education that will acknowledge the importance of understanding themselves as individuals within a supportive, yet challenging environment. Our emphasis on accountability and excellence drives our vision to support quality learning.

PRINCIPAL'S WELCOME

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Welcome to Klemzig School. Our school is comprised of three parts: a specialised Preschool for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children, a world-renowned Centre of Deaf Education and a local Primary School; providing a quality education for children living in the local area.

Our school is committed to making your child’s education as positive and rewarding as possible. We do this by providing a caring, supportive environment where every student can achieve their potential.

As a community we work hard to make sure every child belongs and can identify their own learning achievements and challenges.

We have families from a range of cultural backgrounds, each willing to share their language, history and beliefs. This is a great place to celebrate and learn about valuing the diversity that each family brings to our community.

We trust that the time you and your family spend at Klemzig will be enjoyable and educationally rewarding. We look forward to working with you and your child(ren) during your time here.

We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the Traditional Owners of Kaurna Land and their connection to land and community.

We pay our respects to their cultures and to the Elders past, present and emerging.
