Australian Sign Language (Auslan) is taught across the school as the Language Other than English (LOTE).

Unlike other LOTE subjects, students use Auslan in a classroom setting with Deaf adults and students. The visual nature of Auslan means all student learning is enhanced through meaningful visual clues.

Research shows 55% of our understanding comes from visual cues when communicating.

At Klemzig we believe that both the classroom and the yard should be safe and enjoyable places for all children. We help children to learn to play and work co-operatively and to respect the rights of others.

Reponsible behaviour is encouraged and those who follow the school rules are acknowledged and rewarded.

Before school operates from 7:30 am to 8:30am

After school operates from 3:05pm to 6:05pm
